At age 13, Sal Casillas founded the family business in the septic industry with his father and mother. Sal negotiated the purchase of the first pumper truck in Texarkana, AK, created the first marketing campaign, helped in all operations of the business.

Sal completed a graduate program in San Francisco where he became involved in computer science and building consumer-facing solutions for startups. In 2016, he combined his experience in sanitation systems and technology to start the PumperPal Company and modernize the industry by bringing more transparency and reducing the guesswork to an industry that seem to be stuck in the dark ages.
